I. Series Requirements

A) Pre-Race

1. All drivers must be logged onto the Sim Karting World Championship TeamSpeak 3 Server during all periods of the race event, prior to joining the Kart Racing Pro Server.

2. All racers must use the bodywork, chassis paint, suit paint, and helmet paint that they registered with on the Sim Karting World Championship Forums for the accordingly sanctioned event or series.

3. All racers must be able to fluently speak and understand English for the sake of understanding to compete in any SKWC-Sanctioned Events.

4. All racers must set their TeamSpeak 3 sound to be loud enough to be heard over the noise of their in-game Kart Racing Pro engines, again for the sake of understanding.

5. All racers must attend the drivers' meeting at the end of Official Practice, in order to be allowed to turn a qualifying lap. If missed, the drivers will have to start their heat behind all other drivers who were able to turn qualifying laps.

6. In order to be allowed to race competitively, all racers must have a connection to the server that does not hinder the ability of other drivers to race around them through lag.

7. If the SKWC Admin Board or Board of Advisors deems that a driver is not ready to race a Leopard Senior Race Event, then that driver will be asked to do a private testing session with some of the Admins or Advisors, along with potentially competing in a rookie series if there is one at that point.

8. If a driver is not registered in SKWC as both a driver and with a team, they will not be allowed to participate in that particular SKWC-Sanctioned event or series until they are in both.

9. If a driver connects to the server without the correct airbox as specified per the series, he/she will not be able to collect points for that particular event.

10. If a driver connects to the server without the designated paint skin as specified per their team's sign up for the series, he/she will not be able to collect points for that particular event.

11. If a driver connects to the server without the designated number, suit paint, or helmet paint as specified per their sign up for the series, he/she will not be able to collect points for that particular event.

II. Racing

A) Qualifying

1. In order to reduce the potential of a farce in qualifying due to wrecks or on-track incidents, qualifying will be split into groups of at maximum 12 drivers, with ten minutes per group.

2. If a driver misses his/her qualifying group, he/she will not be allowed to run their five laps in a different qualifying group.

3. While the number of drivers per group may vary per event, the groups will be separated based off the results of Final Practice, with the groups qualifying in order of slowest in results to fastest in results.

4. Just as in all other official sessions for SKWC-Sanctioned events, no tucking is allowed of any kind. If spotted, ALL laps completed by that driver will be nullified and a disqualification will be handed out, even if the driver was only caught tucking during one of them.

5. Times will be combined from the two groups to set the starting order for the Heat races.

B) Starts

1. In order to eliminate pre-race penalties handed from Kart Racing Pro, the Sim Karting World Championship does NOT utilize the in-game starting procedures.

2. Kart Racing Pro will recognize the start as a standing start, with a five-minute warmup. Drivers will pull around only once to come back into their grid stall, in order to eliminate the five-minute period to less than two.

3. After slowly rolling off the in-game Green Flag, drivers will reposition themselves if necessary to align with penalties or miscues in the in-game starting lineup.

4. On the first lap in-game, the field will make sure they are in the correct positions, and then pace in the final sector at a constant rate of 20 miles per hour, or 30 kilometers per hour.

5. If the leader is not holding a constant pace, he/she will be given ONE warning, and then if still unable to maintain a constant speed, they will be placed back to third place, with third place moving up to second, and second place moving to the pole.

6. While it is the leader's responsibility to maintain a constant pace, it is the responsibility of second place to maintain his pace to be as consistent as possible as well, and to not beat the leader to the start/finish line.

7. Behind the front row, all other drivers must stay between a 1/2 kart length and 1 kart length away from the kart ahead of them at all times, attempting to hold a consistent pace as well.

8. If one kart is making contact with the karts ahead of him constantly while trying to take the start, he/she will be penalized four seconds.

9. If a kart has two tires outside of the starting lanes prior to the start/finish line, they will be penalized two seconds accordingly. If a kart has four tires outside of the starting lanes, they will be penalized four seconds.

10. If a kart is causing the kart or karts ahead to be out of line due to shunting the line, they will be penalized a total tally of the penalties that would have otherwise been handed out to the karts ahead for being outside of the corridors.

11. No use of the tucking-function in Kart Racing Pro is allowed at any time under any circumstance. Use of such will result in an automatic disqualification from the session.

C) Racing

1. Any and all on-track incidents will be reviewed by admins after the session is over. If an incident you were involved in was not checked over by the admins, please notify them so they can review the wreck.

2. If driver A is placed at fault for causing driver B to wreck, then driver A will be placed behind driver B in the final results.

3. No intentional wrecking is allowed. If a driver is deemed to be having done so, then he/she will be disqualified from all sessions in that event weekend, and a three-race suspension from all SKWC-Sanctioned events.

4. No "team" racing is allowed in SKWC-Sanctioned Events of any kind. While there is a constructor's cup, any kind of racing that prohibits a competing driver's race, such as blocking for another teammate or wrecking for a teammate to hold his/her position, is subject to severe consequences, with a minimum of a disqualification from the event and a week suspension, if not more.

5. No use of the tucking-function in Kart Racing Pro is allowed at any time under any circumstance. Use of such will result in an automatic disqualification from the session.

6. Drivers are permitted one move for blocking, or a pro-active maneuver into a corner, such as a defensive line. However, two moves as a reaction are deemable of a five second penalty for each offense.

7. Before SKWC Race Control throws the Green Flag to start the session, they have the option to restart the session as many times as they feel necessary. However, once the Green Flag has been thrown, the session is official and cannot be reset for any circumstances.

III. Race Event Procedures

A) Time Schedule

1. In order to maintain an on-time presence, the only incidents that will be reviewed after each heat race are those that are specifically reported to the Admins.

2. We will not search through the entire replay for your incident, so a specific time stamp must be given, such as the lap that it occurred.

3. If a session finishes earlier than the next one is about to start, the admins will wait until it is time to begin the next session.

4. If the series is running behind, however, there will be no wait time or added wait for any driver under any circumstances.

5. The exception to rule 4 is in the event of a game "shutdown" or "crash" for any certain driver, in which they will be given two minutes to restart it and rejoin the server.

2. Each team has a maximum of five drivers per series, no exceptions.

3. Once a driver has scored points in a race for a team, he/she must remain with that team until the end of the season for that particular series.

4. Each team must declare what specific paint(s) -- 1-2 in total -- they will use before any drivers enter under that team in a season, and that paint must remain the same throughout the entirity of the season.

5. Teams are permitted to have full-access to their own private channels at any point during Official Practice, but once the Drivers' Meeting has commenced, all drivers must remain in the specified Race Channel.

6. All paints for an upcoming race must be submitted by 11:59 P.M. EST on the Tuesday before the event, in order to give adequate time for administrators to approve the paints and update the paint pack.

7. At Approximately 11:59 P.M. EST on every Wednesday before the race weekend, a new all-in-one download pack will be available for the custom paints in each division. This will be posted on the downloads page for the respective class.

B) Fair and Full Competition

No driver, under any circumstance, is allowed to hinder the race of a competitor for the benefit of a teammate of theirs. No "team orders".1.

VI. Post-Race Procedures

A) Post-Race Debriefing

After each Feature event, the admins will host a Post-Race Debriefing to recap all events and give future updates on results and any appeals that have been filed.1.

2. No bashing or vulgar language is allowed in these Debriefings, although talk power can be requested for serious questions or comments.

3. If you plan to "call" another driver out with a talk power request, think better of it. Doing so will result in a back of the grid penalty in your next SKWC start, or more severe consequences based on Admin discretion.

B) Results and Appeals

1. After the feature session has concluded, there is a 24-hour period for the results to be finalized and updated. Results may be posted beforehand on the website, but are not finalized and official until the end of that 24-hour period.

2. After results are made official, there is another 48-hour period for appeals on the official results, asking for either a lessened penalty, revoked penalty, or a more severe penalty. A correctly submitted appeal within this period will mandate a re-discussion of the decision with a full Board of Directors meeting to discuss.

3. Once that 24-hour period has passed, no more appeals can be submitted to those results. The board of Directors and League Admins will re-discuss the decision being appealed, and will come to a decision within 48 hours, no more.

4. For an appeal to be officially reviewed, it must be correctly submitted.

5. An appeal is only considered "correctly submitted" if all sections are completed, with the exception of a replay file link, which is optional.

6. The points breakdown for each series varies from series to series, and can be found on the series's members-only page.
